A Belgian artist is hard to find.
An account here, one show a year, and the rest in a studio.arvel exists to make them visible, all in one place.

Belgian artists show their studio and sell their work directly. The price shown is the price paid, and the artist keeps all of it. Art doesn't travel. We meet.
Are you an artist, or a client?
What we do, how, why
An account here, one show a year, and the rest in a studio.arvel exists to make them visible, all in one place.
One gallery per artist, open all the time.Their works, their studio, their town.
A photo, a sentence, what moved forward today. That's the app's feed: News.
Nothing is added at checkout. The artist keeps 100% of their price.
A large canvas doesn't fit in a parcel, and a frame gets damaged. The handover happens in person, at the home of whoever made it.
The client has them in the app. In front of the work they show them, the artist types them in: the money goes. Before that gesture, the payment waits.
From amateur to professional, every Belgian artist comes through the same door.Nobody pays to jump the queue.
The app
The demo account, exactly as the app shows it today.
Painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture. You sort by technique, price or distance.
A word, a photo, the linked work. People who follow the artist see it in their feed.
Their gallery, their news, their town. You know who you are buying from.
Technique, size, one-off piece, seller status. Nothing is added at checkout.
For sale, sold, drafts. What is written is what is received, in full.
Straight on, with wall around it. The close-up and the signed back stay optional.
Who is behind arvel
I'm a Belgian graphic designer, based in Walloon Brabant. arvel is mine end to end.
It all starts with a friend who paints. Instagram is his shop window, but the price goes out in private messages and the payment is improvised.
arvel takes over: his gallery stays, the price is on the page, and he keeps in full what he wrote down. You collect the work from the person who made it.

Where we are
I'm opening across all of Belgium, all at once.
The room itself is still empty: not a single work has been sold here. That is exactly why your place counts - the first galleries and the first walls fill up together.
Artists are already signing up from every corner of the country, in three languages.
An art gallery that fits in your pocket, where every Belgian artist has a place, and where you collect each work from the person who made it.
